NIU Tops Ball State With John Richardson's Game-Winning Field Goal

DEKALB, Ill. (CBS) -- Head Coach Thomas Hammock was fired up Wednesday night as Northern Illinois tried to move closer to a MAC West title.

The Huskies ended up with a great finish. They trailed Ball State by nine, but a 10-yard touchdown run by Jay Ducker gave them the lead.

Ball State would go back in front by 2, but with time expiring, John Richardson drilled a game winning-field goal for the Huskies.

NIU win 30-29.
