Illinois Getting Nearly $1 Billion For Roads And Bridges From Infrastructure Deal

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Congressman Sean Casten announced Illinois is getting nearly $1 billion to fix roads and bridges.

It's part of the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This is the first round of funding over five years.

It's not just for repairs. The money can also fund new projects to improve commute times and safety.
