Judges Temporarily Halts Jury Trials In Lake County Indiana After High Positive COVID Rates

CHICAGO (CBS) -- COVID-19 is bringing jury trials in Lake County, Indiana to a temporary stop.

Superior Court Judge Salvador Vasquez stopped jury trials through Jan. 31.

Lake County has the highest seven-day positivity rate in the state -- it's now 28 percent.

Judges will re-evaluate the situation for February's court docket.
