The Taste of Chicago is the largest outdoor food festival in Chicago. Showcasing the diversity of Chicago's dining community, the Taste is also home to some of the Summer's best music festivals. Since 1980, Chicago's Grant Park has been feeding over 2.5 million hungry visitors a year.

Taste of Chicago 2015 is taking place July 8th - 12th in Grant Park. Visit the Taste of Chicago website for more info.

The Newbies

In 2015, there's 19 new restaurants to check out at the Taste.

One of those newcomers is Puffs of Doom. Owner Rebecca VanderKloot created Puffs of Doom to offer sweet and savory non-traditional cream puffs to all of Chicago.

"The concept, the name, the logo all happened on my 30th birthday. I made a couple hundred cream puffs just for my guests. And they were eaten in, like, five or seven minutes," VanderKloot told WBBM Newsradio. "So everyone was like, 'You guys should, you should do this. You should sell these.'"

Other new restaurants and food trucks include: Bruges Brothers, Burger Bar Chicago, The Crave Bar, Dia De Los Tamales, Dinky Donuts, Inc., DönerMen, Emerald Isle, Farmer's Fridge, Haire's Gulf Shrimp, Jack's Fork in the Road, La Bomba Restaurant, La Cocinita, La Mexicana, Luke's Lobster, Miller's Pub, Old Crow Smokehouse, Sono Wood Fired and Yum Dum.

Old Standbys

As nice as it is to hear about the new additions to the Taste of Chicago, it's the classic restaurants that have been showing up for years that get many people returning.

Will your favorite place be back at the Taste this year? Who will be serving turkey legs? What kind of pizza can I get?

Don't worry! Plenty of Chicago staples are back this year, from Connie's pizza to Eli's Cheesecake. And while Manny's won't be present this year, you can still get giant turkey legs from Miller's Pub.
