Cubs Activate Garza From Disabled List

CHICAG0 (CBS) The Chicago Cubs have activated starting pitcher Matt Garza from the disabled list, the team announced on Monday.

The Cubs placed Garza on the DL on May 24 with a right elbow bone contusion, retroactive to May 18.

Left-hander Scott Maine has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa to make room for Garza.

Garza was 2-4 with a 3.72 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP in his nine starts this season.
