Autopsies showed one man was shot in the head and the other was shot multiple times. Both deaths were ruled homicides.

But it remains unknown what happened in the house at 22642 Brookwood Dr. in Sauk Village. The men's bodies were discovered as the house was shown to a potential buyer around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

All police will say is that the case is under investigation.

The house is a four-bedroom, single-story home listed as a short sale. A neighbor says it had been on the market for about four months and empty for about one month.

The Northwest Indiana Times reports neighbors say there have been several break-ins in houses in the neighborhood.

A sale now, one might logically conclude, just became very difficult.
