MORTON GROVE, Ill. (CBS) – A Morton Grove health club shut down earlier this week by village officials over sanitary problems reopened Friday.
Morton Grove officials confirmed that the LA Fitness at 6821 Dempster reopened at about 10 a.m. after addressing health-related issues, a news release said.
The reasons that prompted the gym’s closure Wednesday included the absence of toilet paper and soap in the locker rooms, village officials have said. Club members told CBS 2 that the gym was not properly maintained.
The village will continue to monitor the health club, the news release said.
