CHICAGO (STNW) — Lake Shore Drive is open again after a City of Chicago semi truck flipped over Wednesday afternoon, shutting down lanes on the Near North Side.
Lanes were shut down on Lake Shore Drive near East Walton Place, where the accident happened about 2 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
The semi took a hard turn and flipped over in the southbound lanes, police said. No one was injured in the crash.
Crews have since cleared the crash, and Lake Shore Drive is open again as of 5:55 p.m., police said.
Southbound No. 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and No. 147 Outer Drive Express buses were temporarily rerouted between Belmont and North avenues, but are running normally again, according to the CTA.
