The Beer Bistro

In 2005, the Beer Bistro opened because they truly love “food, people and beer.” They pride themselves on being a bar with a fun attitude. Almost every night of the week they have some sort of special going on whether it’s Sunday’s 25-cent wings or $5 Thursday martinis. As an official Blackhawks bar, it’s a good place to come watch the game, eat and drink good beer. Choose from 20 beers on tap, 114 in bottles, or 38 different kinds in cans.

What better place to watch hockey than a hockey rink? In fact, it’s the practice rink for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Stanley Club is a full-service lounge that overlooks the ice. While there, have your choice of burgers, hot dogs, pizza, popcorn and of course beer. They have all the NHL games available to watch including all playoff games.

Located in Lakeview, Finley Dunne’s is an official Blackhawks bar. Famous for their “Ryan Burger,” the tavern was named after a Chicago Evening Post columnist Finley Peter Dunne who created a fictional bartender named Mr. Dooley as a vehicle for his political and social satire. Enjoy the 17 beers on tap and over 35 more in bottles. As an official Blackhawks bar, they serve on game days Ketel One, Captain Morgan, Jack Daniels, and Fireball drink specials. They also have Bud Light specials.

Justin’s

3358 N. Southport
Chicago, IL
773.929.4844

Open since 1984, they sport an attitude and tout themselves as being a true bar before all those other bars opened around the Southport neighborhood. Come here to watch hockey, as they are also an official Blackhawks bar. Saturday is Hockey Night and their drink special is Effen “Don” Cherry Drinks for $5. Their stuffed onion rings, yes stuffed, are a signature dish. Justin also asks that you all leave your drama at the door.
