Man Dies While Shoveling Snow In Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 48-year-old man died while shoveling snow Sunday night in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

The man was shoveling snow in the 1400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue about 10:20 p.m. and started having chest pains, police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by the fire department, Sedevic said.

The man had suffered from heart-related issues in the past, Sedevic said.

Police were unsure if the man lived on the block where he died.

Area North detectives are investigating.
