Swimmer Who Drowned At Indiana Dunes State Park Identified As Dominic Snovicky

PORTAGE, Ind. (CBS) -- A swimmer who drowned at the Indiana State Dunes this week has been identified.

The 18-year-old whose body was pulled from the water on Tuesday was identified as Dominic Snovicky of Plainfield.

Witnesses reported seeing the young man being struck by a wave just west of the beach area at Indiana Dunes State Park around 11 a.m.

He did not resurface.

The Portage Fire Department found his body about 90 minutes later.
